Rave Coffee!
Well having went from Average Joe to the Star Wars of coffee, I think it’s time to get back to reality and try some genuine, non-expensive, easy to get your hands on coffee. Rave Coffee it is then! To be completely honest it is not bad (for around £4). The coffee states on the front of the packet, "fresh & Natural" "to incite a taste", they got that right! There is a lot more to this coffee than the £4 price tag gives way to.When you take a sip of this coffee, you’re not bombarded with flavour or bitterness but yet an even mix of the two. At the start you get a smooth taste of coffee with little bitterness, although once you swallow you get this blast of bitterness as the after taste kicks in (leaving an earthy lingering taste). This taste is in no way horrible or unbearable although it does tend to last until you take another sip or get a different drink. That being said this coffee has got flavour to it, just not the flavour most want when enjoying a coffee. That earthy bitterness that lingers is lovely when you need a 'pick me up', this fools the brain making you think the coffee is strong and that its working better meaning your obviously more awake now (this only works on a majority of people (non-religious coffee drinkers)). All in all this coffee is great if you love a strong lingering taste or just need that 'pick me up' in the morning.
On to maybe my favourite part ... the aroma! I have to say I love the smell of coffee, like most others do, I love walking into a coffee shop and getting hit with that aroma of coffee. This coffee brings that to your room, from the moment you open the bag, the strength of the aroma radiating from this coffee fills the room. With most other coffee's so far that would be where it ends, but not with this coffee, the smell continues to flow throughout the room long after your coffee is made (mmm the smell!)
The BEANS have finished discussing and are ready to cast their votes!
Bitterness - 2 out of 5 Beans
Richness - 3 out of 5 Beans
Aroma - 5 out of 5 Beans
